Plutarch's Fabii descend from Hercules by the Tiber — an ancestor-god, not a landmark. secure An honest split: some of the drawer's surfaces ARE places — the Pillars of Hercules stand in Polybius (3.37) — so the cure names the register error without condemning the whole drawer. Cult sites (the Ara Maxima, Liv. 1.7) drove the misfile.
