A receipt records what the house consulted and what it did not establish. The open state is part of the record, not a defect in it.

Model-judged curation under the estate's artifact discipline (D-BRIDGE): every event is one line in ops/curation/waveA/event_decisions.jsonl (sha256 e3236fc7b279c52468be25c3e2bad20cf62214da70b5107ab78c83f89ae1a2e8), with role-tagged witnesses (primary/digression/retrospective/anticipation/aftermath/critique/mention), anchor episodes read by the curator and machine-verified verbatim (ops/curation/waveA/verify_artifact.py), divergence notes grounded only in anchored text, a >=2-distinct-authors law on every event, and a 10% blind re-review (5/5 confirmed; one divergence note strengthened — see ops/curation/waveA/REVIEW.md). Dates separate duration (year_start/year_end) from uncertainty (year_earliest/year_latest + date_confidence), per db/EVENT_INDEX_DESIGN.md.
What this does not prove- A curated event is a stable ADDRESS with verified attestations, not an adjudication of what actually happened — divergence notes stage the record's disagreements without resolving them.
- Anchor attestations are the verified load-bearing episodes, not a concordance of every episode in a witness's span; the extract-v1 ledger underneath is unmodified.
- date_confidence labels the state of the dating apparatus, not fresh chronological research; 'contested' events carry honest bounds in year_earliest/year_latest.
- era_id is unset on Wave A rows — the W3 Olympiad spine does not cover the imperial arc; era joins await a spine pass.
- A held line (op=hold) is not a denial: it is verified evidence deferred to keep the wave inside its 30-50 event charter contract.
- Candidate rows that mix homonym engagements (Bedriacum, Mantinea, Cynoscephalae) or duplicate surfaces (pharsalia, sea-fight-at-actium, sack-of-ijlium) were left as candidates, named in REVIEW.md for a cleanup pass — their extract-v1 attestations remain served-candidate-grade only.
- Event URIs are stable by construction; public permanence is promised only by the founder (D-AUTONOMY-001 reserved list).
